I’M MOVING TO THAILAND

I’m moving!

Yes, that’s right!  After 16 months on the field through the World Race and returning as an Alumni Squad Leader, I’m going back!

The Lord has called me to a missional life and I have committed to moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand for a minimum of two years with Adventures in Missions to help establish a base for their long-term presence.

Our team’s focus will be starting a hostel, hosting World Race and short-term teams, developing Kingdom partnerships with local ministries and churches, and spearheading discipleship and church-planting efforts in the country.

We want to bring God’s peace and presence to Chiang Mai by ministering to locals, backpackers, and short-term mission teams.

My main role will be as Guest Relations and the “face” of the hostel and base.  I will be responsible for creating positive guest interactions, managing staff relations and bookings, and creating a spiritual and physical atmosphere for guests during their stay.

In addition, I will also be working with our Anti-Trafficking Coordinator to help trafficked women in Chiang Mai!

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been in love with Asian culture and had a strong desire to visit Southeast Asia in particular.  When I stepped foot into Thailand for the first time on my World Race, I knew it would have a special place in my heart forever.

I am so excited to return to this special country and live here alongside Buddhist monks, sex-trafficking victims, wandering backpackers, and all the in-between.

Moving across the world is a pretty big deal *shocker* and I’m going to need a band of partners to walk alongside me.  Most importantly, I need your prayers!  Prayer is usually something we look to as a last resort, but it should be what we do first and foremost!  I am confident in the Lord’s calling on my life, but with such a big life change comes a giant rollercoaster of emotions too.  It will be such an honor and comfort knowing I have an army of intentional prayer warriors behind me.

Secondly, I am in need of monthly financial supporters — and no amount is too small!  By partnering with me, you too will be able to live out the Great Commission, to reach out to the weary and lost of Thailand, and to make an impact on the kingdom.

Please contact me at [email protected] if you’d like to partner with me in this mission!

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”    Luke 4:18-19
